Get involved and make a lasting impact

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Every hour you give helps stretch our resources further—so more dollars go directly into building and repairing homes for families in our community

But the impact goes beyond labor. Volunteers bring skills, perspective, and lived experience that help us better understand and serve the needs of the Lake Chelan Valley.

Whether you have a few hours or want to get deeply involved, there’s a place for you here.

Be a Part of the Store That Builds Homes

Our Habitat Store depends on volunteers to keep operations running smoothly and costs low—so more proceeds go directly into building affordable homes.

Store Volunteers help our Staff sorting and price donations, test electronics and work to ensure our Store is an organized and welcoming space. Your time here has a direct impact on our mission and raising funds to build more in our community.

Not only that — they have a great time! Volunteering at the Store is a great way to give back in a flexible, fun, and team-focused environment.

Construction and Community Cleanup Volunteers

Whether you’re helping build a home, completing critical repairs, or supporting neighborhood cleanups, you’ll be part of creating safer, healthier places to live.

Our team provides guidance every step of the way - you just bring your willingness to help.

As volunteer opportunities for construction are seasonal and vary with our building schedule, the best way to stay in the know about upcoming volunteer opportunities is to sign up for our Helping Hands Club

Build and beautify neighborhoods while making a hands-on impact

Receive invites to upcoming builds, repair projects, neighborhood cleanup events, and more ways you can give a “hand-up” in our community.

Youth Volunteers

Young people are an essential part of our mission and bring energy, creativity, and compassion to every volunteer role. Whether you volunteer by yourself, with a friend or in a group, we seek to engage youth where they are at by leaning into their strengths and interests and providing a safe, welcoming space

Volunteers ages 16+ can serve in the Habitat Store and on select construction projects. Youth 14+ may volunteer in the Store with a parent or guardian. We also welcome both student and community service volunteers, and offer flexible volunteer schedules.

Special arrangements and exceptions may be made for youth volunteering as part of a youth groups, clubs and/or trade school course.

Volunteering with Habitat helps young leaders develop valuable skills while making a real difference in their community.
