Shop the Store that helps builds homes.

The Chelan Habitat Store sells new and gently-used furniture, appliances, home decor, clothing and more, all donated by generous community members and local businesses.

Proceeds from Habitat Store sales directly support our mission to build safe, affordable homes — right here in the Lake Chelan Valley. When you shop, donate, or volunteer, you’re helping us create a stronger, more stable community — one home at a time.

What you’ll find

The Chelan Habitat Store sells new and gently used clothes, housewares, decor, furniture, appliances and much more. When items are donated to the Habitat Store, they get a chance at a second life rather than being taken to a landfill. They also make an impact directly in our community by funding the construction of affordable housing.

You never know what you're going to find, since most of the items are donated from people and businesses in our community. The ever-changing selection means you will see different inventory every time you shop!

Your donations help build homes and community!

Your donations to the Habitat Store help our community in five ways:

  • Habitat Store proceeds support our programs, including building affordable housing right here in the Lake Chelan Valley.

  • Donated items provide affordable shopping options those in our community who cannot afford regular retail prices.

  • By reusing gently used items, we reduce waste that may otherwise have gone to a landfill.

  • Donated items that we are unable to sell, are passed on to other local non-profits to provide for needs in our community. We also provide shopping vouchers for those in need.

  • The Habitat Store welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds and walks of life and bring them together to do good in our community — providing a safe supportive environment for youth, senior, and community service volunteers.

Give your gently used items new life

We gratefully accept donations of new or gently used clothes, books, housewares, furniture, tools, small appliances, electronics, kitchenware, lighting, linens and home decor. Your donations stock our shelves, reduce waste, and help local families build safe, affordable homes.

Donations are received in the alley behind the Store during donation hours only. Ring the bell and a member of our staff will be happy to assist you with your items. Please do not leave donations outside the gate. Donations are tax deductible and we are happy to give you a receipt for your donation. Please see below for a list of items we are and are not able to accept.

Business donations

Do you own a local business and have retail overstock, excess building materials or are you planning a renovation or updating your equipment? Lake Chelan Habitat may be able to use your excess items, materials, used tools and equipment or furniture in our Habitat Store. Your in-kind donation is even tax deductible!

Please reach out to our Store Manager about how we can partner to put your items to use funding affordable housing in the Lake Chelan Valley.

Can you help?

We spend thousands of dollars annually on labor costs and disposal fees to sort, screen and dispose of unusable donations. Please consider volunteering or making a monetary donation to help us cover the cost of these services and support affordable housing. Thank you!
